Man killed in Ontario County crash identified
A 55-year-old man was killed in a one-car crash on Route 488 in Hopewell, Ontario County, on Tuesday night, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said that Curtis A. Wright of Seneca Falls, Seneca County, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro west on Route 488 and drove off the north shoulder of the road just after 11:30 p.m. His vehicle struck a mailbox and crashed into a large tree.

AURORA, N.Y. — An Aurora man is under arrest following an investigation that revealed he was allegedly engaging in inappropriate communication with a teenage girl. The Cayuga County Sheriff's Office reports that 34-year-old Thomas Cooper allegedly communicated electronically with an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old girl over the course of three months, making sexual requests and sending nude photographs.

PENN YAN--The village of Penn Yan has announced that many projects funded by the New York state Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), will begin construction in May. Indian Pines Park will be updated to enhance its location as a waterfront recreation spot, with beach replenishment and a complete overhaul of the parking lot.
