Tour puts historic houses on display in Marietta
MARIETTA — History buffs, fans of architecture and those who love old houses had a chance to see several historic Marietta homes this weekend. The Castle Museum hosted its annual Historic Marietta Tour of Homes on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Castle Executive Director Scott Britton said that the museum has been holding the tour since 2018, though they took some time off because of COVID and restarted the tour in 2023. He said originally the tour had been done at Christmastime by various groups before The Castle took over. He said the tour was moved to Memorial Day weekend because there is less “hubbub” than at Christmastime.
Three-vehicle accident leaves four injured, two seriously
MARIETTA — A three-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon left four people injured, two of them seriously. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Lea Mikes, OSHP received the call for the accident at 3:32 p.m on State Route 7 just south of milepost 31 between Reno and Newport not far from the Willow Island Lock and Dam.

American Legion Post 64 holds Memorial Day Parade in Marietta
Marietta, OH (WTAP) -With the flags on the Putnam Street Bridge on display, the American Legion Post 64 their annual Memorial Day Parade in downtown Marietta. The parade began at 10 a.m. with the line starting on Putnam St. and ending on Wooster St. at the Oak Grove Cemetery. The parade included veterans, family, and the Marietta High School Marching Band performed as well.
