Lashone Ward, 53, was faced with the prospect of returning to prison after prosecutors alleged he violated the terms of his judicial release sanctions by approaching and threatening corrections officers employed by Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution. Following a two-and-a-half hour hearing before Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Reed, which included testimony from two corrections officers, it was determined the state failed to prove the allegations against Ward.

City of Lima asking for public's help locating brownfield sites for further rehabilitation
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima residents learned more about how they can help the city identify and address brownfield properties. City officials and environmental contractors explained at a community meeting Thursday night how the half-million-dollar brownfield grant awarded to Lima by the EPA will be used to improve the area. A brownfield site is a property that could be contaminated by hazardous or polluting materials left behind from its previous use, like former laundry mats or gas stations. With this funding and residents' help, the city will create a list of these locations and determine what, if any, rehabilitation is needed to restore them to a safe and usable state.
