Dozens of teachers in 2 Pittsburgh-area school districts could soon be out of work
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (KDKA) — Dozens of teachers at two Fayette County school districts could soon be without jobs.KDKA-TV has learned more than 100 furlough notices were sent to teachers at Uniontown Area School District and Frazier School District. According to the Pennsylvania State Education Association, of the 195 teachers at Uniontown, 60 notices were sent. Fifty notices were sent to teachers at Frazier out of a staff of 72. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Fayette County district attorney provided an update on the case of a missing teenager whose remains were identified this week.Kaitlin Whoolery, 17, was reported missing in November 2023, and her remains were found at an abandoned property in North Union Township on April 16. Two men found shot inside McKees Rocks apartment complex, county police investigating
MCKEES ROCKS (KDKA) - One person is in critical condition and another is stable after an early morning shooting in McKees Rocks. Just after 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, McKees Rocks Police were called to the scene of a reported shooting in the Hays Manor apartment complex on Bell Avenue.They requested the help of the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit. Once on the scene, they found two men shot inside an apartment. Both were taken to the hospital one was in critical condition and another was in stable condition. Allegheny County Police are investigating the shooting. PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A 17-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting in McKees Rocks that killed a 15-year-old boy. In a post on social media on Friday, the Allegheny County Police Department said 17-year-old Delvon Johnson of McKees Rocks was arrested in Orlando, Florida, by the U.S. Marshals and Orlando Police Department.
