Strong storms possible Monday afternoon across New Orleans metro
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — After a warm and mostly dry weekend across the region, showers and thunderstorms are forecast to return tomorrow. A line of strong to severe storms will enter our western areas by late Monday morning. Most models show the heaviest activity moving into the New Orleans metro between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Breezy Sunday, storms arrive Monday
NEW ORLEANS — We have another very breezy day on tap for your Sunday, and a wind advisory is in effect until 8 o’clock tonight. Today the winds will be from the southeast at 15 to 25 mph with some gusts up close to 35 mph. It should be partly cloudy with a small chance for an isolated shower, and warmer than normal temperatures continue with a high temperature in the mid to upper 80s. However, the breeze should make it feel more comfortable.
