MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Multiple people were arrested and an officer was injured following a large annual block party in Madison. According to the City of Madison, thousands of people attended this year’s Mifflin Street Block Party. There were people reportedly packed shoulder to shoulder in the 400 and 500 blocks of Mifflin Street on April 28.

Dog shot after biting deputy in Columbia Co. pursuit
TOWN OF CALEDONIA, Wis. (WMTV) - A dog was shot and a man was arrested Friday afternoon after police attempted a traffic stop in Columbia County. A Columbia County Sheriff’s deputy tried to stop a vehicle for equipment violations on Highway 78 near Old U Road in the Town of Caledonia. DNR announces drawdown for Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area
MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin DNR plans to lower water levels this spring at the Grand River Marsh Wildlife Area in Marquette and Green Lake counties. The DNR says drawdown will begin this spring, and water levels will be lowered slowly until full drawdown is achieved in early summer. The drop in water levels is necessary to conduct cattail mowing within the marsh. By drawing down the water, DNR staff can access and mow select areas.
