Air Force JROTC discontinued at Cape Central
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Air Force JROTC program at Cape Girardeau Central High School is being discontinued. The program currently has about 50-60 members. Government guidelines require more than 100 members and two teachers. Currently finding a second instructor has been difficult, according to Cape Girardeau School’s Kristen Talent.

Missouri Veterans Homes Chosen For Customer Experience Awards
All seven Missouri Veterans Homes have received “Best in Class” Customer Experience Awards from the Pinnacle Quality Insight for 2024. The Missouri Veterans Homes in Cameron, Cape Girardeau, Mexico, Mt. Vernon, St. James, and Warrensburg have won this award for five consecutive years. Parents share emergency experience with Perry County 911 dispatch
