May 1, 2024, News Release from the Wood County Sheriff's Office: On May 1, 2024, at 8:27 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff's Office was notified of a single-vehicle crash at Mears Rd. and Main St. in the Village of Jerry City, which resulted in a single fatality. Sewer projects continue in Wood County communities
The Northwestern Water and Sewer District has announced infrastructure improvement projects totaling more than $11.3 million. Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible in various locations throughout Northwood as part of an $830,000 sewer lining project. In Northwood, Farnstead Drive is closed between Tracy Road and Sheffield Place for waterline replacement through September. Residential access will be maintained. The project will cost $978,000. In Perrysburg Township, intermittent lane restrictions are possible through September throughout the Starbright subdivision for sewer rehabilitation. That project will cost $863,000.
