Quiet Weekend Ahead
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - As we prepare for our weekend, the forecast of dry weather will likely continue, even though we will have more clouds than sun around here on Saturday with highs holding in the lower 80s. For Sunday, more in the way of sunshine will be with us with highs climbing back to the mid 80s. It should be fine weather for any plans that might take you outside, and if you’re a fan on the weekend forecast, you’ll love next week. Highs will climb pretty consistently to the mid and upper 80s through next week with the chance at our first 90 degree days of the year coming our way at some point Tuesday through Friday. The last time we had 90s was in late September, and it’s about the average time that we should see them start popping back up. For rain chances, we’ll monitor Wednesday as perhaps the best chance at a shower or storm, but when we do get into a weather pattern like this, we have to monitor areas of storms diving down from the north and west - computer models sometimes have a tough time handling these kinds of systems, so we’ll watch it carefully for you! Next weekend may also feature a more organized chance at a few showers or storms.
