37-year-old Georgia man arrested for shooting during argument
LUMPKIN – A 37-year-old Georgia man has been arrested by the GBI for a shooting that occurred during an argument. The GBI has arrested and charged Jerrell Staples, age 37, of Lumpkin, GA, with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony in connection to the death of Jason Jones, age 34, of Lumpkin, GA. The Lumpkin Police Department asked the GBI to investigate. Stewart County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
