Galesburg man dead in Knox County crash
KNOX COUNTY, Ill. — A Galesburg man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in rural Knox County. According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred on Knox Highway 23 at Knox Road 50 East around 5:40 p.m. on Monday, June 10. An initial investigation showed that the man was driving eastbound on Highway 23 when he left the roadway and crashed.
Arrest warrant issued for Galesburg man in connection with 18-year-old's shooting death
The Galesburg Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a 19-year-old man accused of killing an 18-year-old on June 7. Police said that Chase Houlden, Jr. 19, had an arrest warrant issued against him on murder charges for his alleged role in the death of Cam'ron Glass, 18, at a home in the 900 block of East South Street in Galesburg. REMINDER: I-74 construction begins Monday
BRIMFIELD, Ill. (WMBD) — The Illinois Department of Transportation is reminding drivers of two bridge construction projects on Interstate-74 starting June 10. Peoria County and Knox County drivers will be affected. Specifically, County Highway 18 over I-74 about 8.5 miles west of Brimfield in Knox County on June 10 and Illinois 78 over I-74 about 4 miles west of Brimfield in Peoria County on June 17.
Knox County woman dies in late Thursday afternoon crash near Galesburg
GALESBURG, Ill. (WMBD) — An 82-year-old Wataga woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in rural Knox County. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. Route 34 and Knox County Highway 9. That’s just northeast of Galesburg and southwest of Wataga.
