Vacant building engulfed in flames on Jeanette St. in Parkersburg
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A vacant building was on fire on the 500 block of Jeanette St. in Parkersburg on Tuesday night. Authorities received a call at about 8:20 p.m. about the vacant City Iron & Metal building being engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, according to authorities.

Arsenic, other dangers found in Ritchie County community drinking water
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Samples tested by the Health Department found hazards in the individual wells of several residents outside of the city of Pennsboro and the town of Ellenboro. 18 of 22 samples tested positive for arsenic, 14 tested positive for lead, as well as one for methane gas.

Warming trend continues into work week
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - High pressure has given us a nice, sunny, and unseasonably warm day. The record high for today is 88 degrees set in 1956. We are still warming up and are expected to reach the mid 80s which is fairly close to the record. Tonight will be another warm night with temperatures only expected to fall to the low 60s once again which is about 15 degrees above average for this time of year. The reason for the warm night time temperatures is because of the southerly flow we are seeing. Monday will be another sunny and even hotter day. Highs are expected to reach about 87 which, if we hit, would break the previous record high of 86 which was set in 1991.
