Quincy woman facing child abduction charge arrested in small town on Wisconsin-Minnesota border
QUINCY — A Quincy woman who had failed to turn over her five children to the Illinois Department of Family Services was arrested Tuesday in Minnesota. An Adams County warrant was issued Monday, June 10, for Susanna Williams, 32, for child abduction and obstructing justice. Officers with the Quincy Police Department located the vehicle Williams and the five children were believed to be in by using the Flock License Plate Reader camera. The vehicle was tracked to the area of St. Croix Falls, Wis.

Houston man facing burglary charges from local retirement facility also wanted in multiple states for similar offense
QUINCY — A Houston man was apprehended Tuesday on a charge of residential burglary in Adams County. The Quincy Police Department said in a press release that it began an investigation in February after reports were made by an unidentified local retirement living facility that an unknown person had entered residents’ apartments to steal credit and debit cards, which were then used at various stores in Quincy.
