MESA, Ariz. — An urgent care center in Mesa was evacuated after a patient may have used fentanyl in the bathroom, according to officials with the Mesa Fire Department. A hazmat team was called to Honor Health Urgent Care, near University Drive and Extension Road, Saturday morning. Officials said several people in the building complained of feeling unwell but all were evaluated and refused transportation to a hospital.
Wildfire burns hundreds of acres south of Maricopa
MARICOPA, AZ (AZFamily) — Over 300 hundred acres have been burned following a fast-moving wildfire Thursday in Pinal County. The fire broke out around 1 p.m. near SR 347 and Miller Road, about nine miles south of Maricopa. MESA, Ariz. — A Mesa man has been taken into custody after DNA evidence allegedly connected him to the sexual assault of a woman in Yavapai County. The sheriff's office said Friday that 36-year-old Brian J. Hernandez was taken into custody this month for allegedly raping a 47-year-old woman in August 2023.
