She has recently visited Machu Picchu in Peru and has spent some time on the Amazon River. Following several months of an incredible experience, she is expected home again at the end of the school year.

Junior High Rodeo held at new Sherman Co. indoor arena
The Oregon Junior High rodeo division kicked off their spring competition at Sherman County's beautiful new indoor arena in Moro on April 13-14. The area was represented by Clem's Caydence Wade, Matthew Tucker from Arlington, and Tate Turner, Ione. While results for this event are not available, the current standings for this school year show Matthew Tucker in a three-way tie for first in the Boys Bull Riding. Tate Turner sits fifth in the Boys Breakaway Roping. He is holding down 12th place in the Boys Goat Tying, while roping to 6th place in the Team Roping and 5th in the Ribbon Roping. Matthew Tucker is in a three-way tie for first in the Boys Bull Riding.

10 years ago— Fossil Grade School students took an outing to Mayville to the Stinchfield log cabin. The students in grades 1-4 with teachers Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Burrows, had a host of questions with tasks to perform with information they gathered to go along with their studies of the Oregon Trail and pioneer life.
