Police investigating woman's death
An autopsy is planned after the body of a 53-year-old woman was found overnight in the 3200 block of North Second Street. The woman's name has not been released. The body was found by family members and the death is under investigation, Capt. Jeff Wilson of the St. Joseph Police Department said. He added that no foul play has been identified at this point.

The Story Collective is having a slumber party this Friday, April 26, but it’s not for humans, it’s for toys. Join the local bookstore for its very first Stuffy Sleepover. Kids can come for story time with their best stuffed buddies. They’ll receive a nametag for their toys and cuddle in for a story before tucking their stuffed toys in for the night. On Saturday morning, come back to the shop to pick up their friends and see all the things they did the night before. There will also be another story time at 11 a.m. Saturday morning kids and stuffed toys are welcome to join in. There is no cost for this event and kids of all ages are welcome. The slumber party shenanigans begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Story Collective, 114 S. Seventh St.

Parade, celebration coming to North end on April 27
