A little heat later this week, a comfy weekend, then lots of heat next week
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny and very warm, but still not too humid. High: 88. THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear and milder. Low: 65. Hope you are ready for the heat because it is on its way! Today starts off the big warmup with high temperatures around 80 today. Tomorrow, they jump up quite a bit with highs in the upper 80s and Friday we’ll probably see our first 90-degree day of the year. All of this is thanks to an area of high pressure that is transporting warmer air from the south into our region. This high pressure is also what is keeping our weather nice and dry for this week. On Friday, a cold front moves through, bringing some showers and thunderstorms along with it later in the afternoon into the evening. Some storms might be severe, with the potential for gusty winds, heavy downpours, and hail. The cold front will help to moderate temperatures a little bit as well for the weekend, as high pressure returns on Saturday. Father's Day weekend looks much more comfortable in terms of the heat with highs in the low 80s. Next week is when the heat really returns! Highs climb back into the 90s on Monday and looks like it will stay that way for the rest of the week. But on the flip side, no rain is in the forecast through at least Wednesday.
