A former Clemson running back is transferring to one of the top teams in the SEC and a National Championship contender in 2024. Former walk-on running back Domonique Thomas is transferring to Ole Miss to continue his college football career. A team that runs the ball a ton and lost in my opinion, the best running back in college football Quinshon Judkins to the transfer portal. Thomas originally committed to Georgia State, but that didn’t last long as he re-entered the transfer portal shortly after. He now lands in an awesome situation at Ole Miss. Thomas finished 2023 with 116 yards and one touchdown on 18 attempts. As a Tiger, he had 25 career carries for 147 yards and one score. He’ll look to carve out a role in a new, high-powered offense.

Sunday wreck leads to felony DUI charge
OXFORD – A single-car wreck on the east side of Oxford on Sunday ended with the driver facing a charge of felony driving under the influence. Oxford police responded to a single-vehicle accident Sunday, May 12, on Highway 6 near Buddy East Parkway. Responding officers say they found open containers of alcohol within the vehicle. The investigation revealed that the driver had at least three prior DUI convictions.

Louisiana softball gets run-ruled by Baylor on Saturday in Lafayette Regional
No. 13 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball got run ruled by Baylor on Saturday to the tune of 8-0 in five innings for the third time all season. The Ragin' Cajuns got off to a complete opposite start compared to Friday's game in the circle as junior pitcher Sam Landry lasted just 1 ⅔ innings surrendering six early runs. She was replaced by senior Denali Loecker who gave up another run in the second inning to give Baylor an early 7-0 lead through two.
