BARNSDALL, Okla. — After a deadly EF4 tornado ripped through Barnsdall, taking the lives of two people, Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden wants a safe place for everyone to be able to take cover.
Woman Killed, 2 Injured In Osage County Crash
A 68-year-old woman was killed in an Osage County crash that may have involved alcohol Saturday night, authorities say. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Melvillia Bingamon of Skiatook, died at the scene on County Road 2625 and State Highway 99 in Pawhuska. Troopers said it happened just after 8 p.m....
The damage to Barnsdall was heartbreaking
I visited Barnsdall on May 10, and the damage to the town was the most devastating thing I’ve ever seen. It was simply heartbreaking to see that essentially half of the town had disappeared, leaving many homeowners with next to nothing. However, I was glad to see representatives from various state agencies on the ground helping local residents. State health officials were administering tetanus shots. Officials from the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management were there in addition to Highway Patrol troopers and other first responders. FEMA representatives also arrived in town the same day.
Vehicle strikes another car after running a stop sign, killing passenger in Osage County

At around 8 p.m., A Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on County Road 2625 in Pawhuska when it failed to stop at a stop sign. The truck hit a Jeep Wrangler with two people inside on the front driver's side, according to a crash report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
