Zapata County students meet NASA astronaut
ZAPATA COUNTY, Tex. (KGNS) - Students from Zapata County ISD (ZCISD) were among over 6,000 students who had the unique opportunity to meet NASA astronaut Jose Hernandez. Over 60 students from ZCISD traveled to Edinburg for a special screening of Hernandez’s movie A Million Miles Away. During the event, students had the chance to hear Hernandez’s inspiring story, from his upbringing as a migrant farmworker to his journey of perseverance that led him to NASA.
