Community remembers victims one year after first Davis stabbing
DAVIS - Saturday marked one year since the first of three stabbings rocked the Davis community. The community is still healing one year later and some people were getting emotional looking back and talking about the victims. "It was a nightmare. Former sheriff dies at 84
Former Sutter County Sheriff Roy Whiteaker passed away on Thursday at age 84. The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office said on social media that Whiteaker held his position as sheriff from 1971 to 1990. At age 31, he was reportedly the youngest sheriff ever elected in California at the time.

The Moms for Liberty Yolo County chapter held a public forum with guest speakers on April 13 to discuss alleged gender discrimination in the California Interscholastic Federation’s (CIF) policy.
