BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Magnolia Mound Plantation House is a place where visitors can step into history to get a glimpse of Louisiana’s colonial period. According to a National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form, the plantation house “has both significance and beauty” and shows visitors a typical late 18th-century settlers house from the French and Spanish colonial period in Louisiana.

Tsunami Sushi‘s newest wave has rolled in. The second Baton Rouge location of the Lafayette-born restaurant is now open on the first floor of @Highland. The restaurant opened its doors to eager patrons on April 12, says General Manager Allyson Mayeux. Though the office complex might seem like an unlikely place for a high-end sushi spot, Mayeux says the Tsunami team decided to open at 1 Smart Way to service more of Baton Rouge.
