The Yorktown Community Hall will hold the second dance of its 2024 Dance schedule on Saturday, March 30 with music by the Dickie Kaiser Band. Doors will open at 6 pm. with admission at $10 per person and kids 12 and under are free. The band is well known in the area, playing locally at 5D Steakhouses and 5D Taverns. Lead singer, Dickie Kaiser, of Boerne, is a prior member of the Emotions Band from 1974 - 1978. Kaiser has roots in De Witt County and his full band includes members from surrounding communities, playing regularly at Sweet Home Hall.

The Yorktown Community Hall kicked off its 2024 Dance Schedule with Chris Gonzales & the Rekkers on February 19. There was a great crowd on the dance floor, with others there just for Bob Bitterly’s famous stew and cornbread. Folks came from all around, including some from Utah. Many families came out to enjoy the band with line dancing and even some mother/ son dance lessons were thrown into the mix.

The dance Saturday night is an event to be enjoyed by all ages, so if you have family in town for the Easter holiday, bring everyone out for some fun. The hall will be offering concessions including chili, chili salads, chili pie and chili cheese nachos. Most importantly, they will be offering the best Margaritas and coldest beer around!
