Train derailment block parts of Main Street and 153rd RD in Wyandotte Oklahoma

Wyandotte, OK – Around 20 train cars went off the tracks in Wyandotte, Oklahoma Saturday evening. The derailment blocked Main Street and east 153rd Road in Wyandotte. No one was hurt in the crash. Numerous area agencies responded to help.

Kansas – Kansas Governor Laura Kelly vetoes a bill to ban gender-affirming care for transgender youth. The bill would restrict the use of puberty blockers, which trans minors may use to delay the development of gendered characteristics. However, the republican controlled House and Senate may have the votes to override the veto.

Joplin, MO – Saturday was the grand opening of the Keystone Gallery, which features art, photography, and jewelry. The gallery currently displays work from more than 20 local artists. Saturday, they helped present their work, including one artist working live. The owners say they want to use art to support and enrich the community.
