Triway got out to an early 2-0 lead and added runs in the fourth and sixth innings to advance to next week's district semifinals behind a strong performance from Simon Kitchen on the mound.

Kitchen went seven innings, striking out nine batters and allowing just one earned run. He also went 2-2 with an RBI to help lead Triway's offense.

The Titans face Waynedale on Monday at Medina High School at 1 p.m. in the district semifinals.

Wooster 5, North Olmsted 0

Wooster advanced to the district stage for the second straight season, shutting out North Olmsted.

The Generals face a familiar opponent in the district semifinals, traveling to Cleveland to face Medina — the team that ended Wooster's season in the regional semifinals last year.
