Care Aide Loses License Over Elderly Injury Suspicions
A Snohomish County home care aide has lost their license allegations of leaving a patient with bruise marks, according to the Washington Department of Health. In August, the Secretary of Health revoked the home care aide license of Mercy Akoth Ogola after an incident at an assisted-living facility in Bothell where she once worked, the Department of Health (DOH) reports.

Lime scooter thrown from overpass slams into car on I-5 through Seattle
A Lime electric scooter was thrown off the overpass at northeast 45th Avenue and I-5 in Seattle Wednesday night. “The scooter just dropped, and that’s when it got whole damage by the front hood, this whole thing must be replaced,” Nilesh Patel said. “This side mirror got broken out too.” Patel said his son was driving his friend to the airport when it happened. “By looking at this damage and just looking at here and my son was sitting there, I think I’m very thankful nothing happened to him -- it can be worse,” Patel said.

New Affordable Housing Project for Homeless Individuals Coming to Kenmore in 2024
Plymouth's Permanent Supportive Housing development at 6532 Bothell Way NE in Kenmore is scheduled to start construction in 2024. The project will include 100 apartments, with 85 studios and 15 one-bedroom units. Initially, the development aimed to serve seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and formerly homeless people with incomes at or below 30% Area Median Income (AMI). However, funding conditions from the Department of Commerce and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC) now require the project to serve only homeless individuals at entry.

Last night, a family-owned wine business in Woodinville was targeted by a masked vandal. CCTV footage showed the culprit approach shortly before 10:37 PM wearing a coat, scarf, face mask, and fedora hat to protect their identity. The culprit then slashed a 5,000-gallon tank of Sauvignon Blanc wine. This took place at Sparkman Cellars, which has been a Seattle business for years.
