Amityville Nurse Sentenced for Forging COVID-19 Vaccine Cards, Laundering $1.2M, and Faking Opioid Prescriptions
Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced that Julie DeVuono, 51, of Amityville was sentenced after pleading guilty in September of 2023 to filing forged COVID-19 Vaccination Record Cards, laundering the criminal proceeds of the sales of the forged cards and filing false prescriptions for opioids for people who were not her patients.
Police Report Arrest Made in Connection with Frightening Shooting Incident in Manhasset
The Sixth Squad reports that an arrest was made today in connection with a Shooting incident that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 6:40 PM in Manhasset. According to detectives, police responded to a 911 call for shots fired in the vicinity of 65 Pond Hill Road. Upon arrival, police observed a dispensed shell casing lying on the ground. Further investigation revealed that a male subject wearing unknown clothing was responsible for the shooting. The male subject then fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.
