From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27th, Woodbridge police are again participating in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA’s) 26th annual “National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.”

There is a secure drop box in the Municipal Building’s parking lot at One Main Street where people can safely surrender unused, outdated prescription medications.

Police Director Robert Hubner says expired and unused prescription medications can be potentially dangerous, especially to youngsters, when left in family medicine cabinets. They can be misused, abused, or are sometimes taken accidentally, Hubner explains.

People can also turn in vape pens or other e-cigarette cartridges, with batteries removed from the devices, for disposal. No sharps (needles) or liquids will be accepted.
