County Planning Commission recommends solar moratorium
The Dickinson County Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend a two-year moratorium on solar energy projects in the county. No solar projects are currently proposed or under consideration, making it the perfect time to impose a moratorium, said Planning and Zoning Director Tim Hamilton.
Milford man dies in police custody after larceny suspicion
Michael Brown, who was wanted on multiple arrest warrants and suspected in a recent larceny at another Milford grocery store, was taken into custody in the Big Y parking lot on Boston Post Road, according to police.

Salina Police and Kansas Lottery officials are investigating a slew of suspicious incidents – tied to a group of three males in a leased car from Ohio. City chooses T-intersection for 14th Street, Van Buren intersection
The Abilene City Commission, in a 4-0 vote, approved improvements to the NW 14th Street and Van Buren Street intersection to make the roadway into a T-intersection. Commissioner Amy Meysenburg was not present for the May 28 meeting. The estimate of the T-intersection design is about $3.45 million.
