After many delays, 3 new legal marijuana shops are ready to open in Central New York
The notoriously slow roll out of legal marijuana stores across the state is about to speed up, at least in Central New York. Two legal dispensaries — one on Syracuse’s far west side and another in Fulton — are scheduled to open this Saturday, May 18. Another, in downtown Syracuse, is aiming to open on Memorial Day weekend.

Fulton, N.Y. — A man robbed another man at knifepoint at a Fulton Byrne Dairy and then was captured days later after a chase, police said. Kevin J. Vandelinder, 38, of Oswego entered the Byrne Dairy at 1013 Emery St., on Saturday and approached someone sitting in a booth, said Sgt. Lucas Hollenbeck, a spokesperson for the Fulton Police.
