A Wise County, Virginia man, Randall Scott Hileman, aged 56, has been handed a ten-year federal prison sentence for significant drug trafficking and firearm offenses. Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares announced the sentencing following Hileman's guilty plea to charges of conspiring to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine, as well as illegal firearm possession as a previously convicted felon.

(WCYB) — Authorities are searching for a man who was last seen in Wise on November 20. According to the Dickenson County Sheriff's Office, Logan Jess Stanley was last seen when he dropped his mother off at her workplace. Stanley has a black 2019 Ford EcoSport with a Virginia license plate of TVD7092.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting in St. Paul. According to authorities, two individuals got into an argument around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 24. Shortly thereafter, the St. Paul Police Department and Castlewood Fire and Rescue were alerted to a shooting incident near Third Avenue in St. Paul.

The venue was thought to be one of the largest in Eastern Kentucky at one point, drawing people from other states.

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WCYB) — Authorities are still searching for a man accused of shooting his ex-wife to death in Wise County seven years ago. The Wise County Sheriff's Office said Eric Jones went to the town of Appalachia water treatment plant and shot and killed his ex-wife Janina Jefferson. The last known sighting of him was on that day, when police said he was spotted on a Big Stone Gap convenience store's security footage.

Hawai’i Island police detectives charged three South Kona men with multiple offenses following a recent weapons incident. Upon conferring with the Hawai’i County Prosecutor’s Office, Area II Criminal Investigation Section detectives charged 35-year old Axeen Adrian Chavez, 28-year old Daniel Jacobo Cortes and 41-year old Enrique Guardado Garcia each with three counts of Assault in the second degree, Terroristic Threatening in the first degree and two counts of Kidnapping.

The Kentucky State Police, Hazard Post, has announced plans to conduct regular traffic safety checks in Perry, Knott, Letcher, Breathitt, and Leslie Counties. These checks, approved by the State Police, aim to enforce Kentucky's traffic laws.

ST. PAUL, Va. (WYMT) - The Saint Paul Police Department reports they have arrested one man following a report of an apparent gunshot wound on Friday, Nov. 24. Those in living in Saint Paul and the surrounding areas had been urged to shelter in place until the man, Anthony Warren, had been taken into custody. Police at the time considered him armed and dangerous.

LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A traffic stop Sunday night left two people behind bars on drug charges. It happened in the Fleming Neon community of Letcher County. Jenkins Police stopped a man and a woman and when the officer approached the car, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. He also recognized the driver, Emory Mullins, and knew he was driving on a suspended license.
