"Bob Singley is credited with being one of the primary visionaries and innovators behind the growth of freestyle and extreme skiing," notes the Colorado Snowsports Museum.

"A legendary Winter Park ski patroller in the 1960s, Singley helped found Fraser’s Tirebitter Ski Club, which he still runs today. His audacious skiing earned him a role as a stuntman in pal Robert Redford’s Downhill Racer as well as the James Bond movie On Her Majesties Secret Service , along with numerous ski films."

Of course, you can likely rent the film online someplace, but the tradition in ski towns is to see the film at a community venue, with your fellow skiers. Ski town residents are supposed to enjoy these films together—not on iPads in distant rooms.

The film is being presented in partnership with the Grand Foundation .

The screening of the 1969 film is a fundraiser for the Film Festival.

There are two showings: 5:30 and 7:45 pm.

"Come enjoy the movie and a speech from special guest, Bob Singley, a stuntman in the film," said a statement.

See you there!
