2 arrested after fight, shooting in Winston-Salem at intersection of 4th Street, Trade Street, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people were arrested after a fight and shooting in Winston-Salemon on Thursday, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.

At 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a fight where a gun was reportedly fired at the intersection of 4th Street and Trade Street.

During the fight, 41-year-old Demetrius Donte Keitt shot a gun before leaving the scene, police say.

Shanice Aaliyah Chambers, 27, had the gun, and officers recovered it from her.

Around 8 p.m., officers located Keitt. He was taken into custody without incident.

No injuries have been reported.

Chambers was arrested and charged with felony carrying a concealed weapon.

Chambers received no bond allowed.

Keitt was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the Intent to kill, misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon and misdemeanor discharging a firearm within city limits.

Keitt received no bond allowed.
