Wilmington woman and her All-American dog achieve big marks at Westminster competition
Most people in Wilmington know Chiaki Ito as either a real estate lawyer or as a musician who has directed many a band for local theater productions. On May 11, however, the world got to see Ito — and her All-American dog, Ann Perkins — compete in the Westminster Master Agility Championship Finals at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. It was the national television debut for both Ito and Ann Perkins, and reruns of the competition are still being aired on Fox Sports channels FS1 and FS2.

Cargo District developer Leslie Smith has been putting the pieces in place for what will be a block of food and fun at 15th and Queen streets in downtown Wilmington.
