Hudson River Housing introduces Pat’s Place
POUGHKEEPSIE – Hudson River Housing in Poughkeepsie has opened Pat’s Place, supportive housing for vulnerable young adults, ages 18 through 24. Organization President Christa Hines said the facility at 57 South Clinton Street, will act as a haven, a source of safety, care and love for Dutchess County’s most vulnerable.
Carmel 'Battery Farm' Public Hearing Set for June 19
MAHOPAC, N.Y.— The Carmel Town Board tonight (May 15) voted to hold a public hearing over a potential zoning change that would limit the scope of battery storage systems like the one proposed for a 90-acre parcel near Miller Road in Mahioac. The hearing is set to take place at Town Hall, 60 McAlpin Avenue in Mahopac, Wednesday, June 19, at 7 p.m. and will address a proposed local law amending Chapter 156 of the Code of the Town of Carmel, entitled "Zoning."CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER If approved, the amendment would allow the town to impose a moratorium on the Miller Road project while it considers amendments to the zoning law that would limit such projects to a fraction of the size of the 116-megawatt project proposed for Miller Road. Tractor Trailer Crashes On I-395 In Arlington
Delays were building on I-395 due to a tractor trailer crash Thursday, May 16 in Arlington.The VDOT site shows the crash happened at mile marker 9.2 in the northbound lanes."Motorists can expect delays due to a tractor trailer crash," the site said as of press time.

The incident occurred in Dutchess County shortly before noon on Wednesday, May 15, on South Quaker Lane in Hyde Park. According to Capt.
