WYMT Evening Forecast Saturday, October 31st
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Alright, here’s what’s happening as we wrap up Friday. A dry cold front is working its way south toward the Tennessee border. This isn’t your typical strong cold front. This one’s moisture-starved and weak. The main thing it does is change the wind direction from southerly to northeasterly tonight. FLORIDA — A strong cold front is expected to build across the Southeast by the middle of next week, pushing east with a line of rain and storms on Wednesday and Thursday. The latest European model continues to support the idea, showing the frontal line stretching from Tennessee through Alabama and the Gulf Coast. The biggest question is how far into Florida the front will reach, while a separate low-pressure system spinning over the Atlantic could eventually play a role for the Northeast.
Tires, brakes, batteries and visibility checks can help Kentucky drivers prepare for snow and ice.
