Louisville doctor to serve as president of American Medical Association
A Louisville doctor has been tapped to lead the country's largest medical association. Dr. Bruce Scott, a head and neck surgeon, will be named president of the American Medical Association on June 11, a spokesperson with the association said in an email. Scott was named president-elect in June 2023, while also serving on the association's Board of Trustees.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Nelson County bourbon and gin distillery will open a new high-end restaurant on a marquee corner of downtown Louisville. At 2nd and Main streets, Monk's Road Boiler House will take over a building long-occupied by Bearno's By the Bridge, a space that has recently undergone a complete transformation. The two-story venue will have a bar for tastings and events in the basement and a restaurant on the first floor.
MSD increasing rate by 6.9% to cover upgrades, repairs in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Metropolitan Sewer District will increase its rate by 6.9% to cover upgrades and repairs across Jefferson County. According to a news release Wednesday, Louisville MSD's board approved to move forward under the preliminary rate resolution Tuesday.
