SAN ANTONIO — The arrival of June heralds many things: Hotter South Texas temperatures, family vacations, Spurs draft speculation. It also means the return of Pride Month celebrations for San Antonio's LGBTQ+ residents, a chance for Texans to come together in shows of solidarity, community and expression. For every city-sanctioned party like the River Walk Pride Parade, there are several smaller events tailored around inclusion for San Antonians of all genders and sexual orientations to partake in.
Celebrate Make Music Day with a free festival in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO – Make Music Day is Friday, June 21, and the City of San Antonio will celebrate with a free, family-friendly festival downtown. The event will take place from noon to 10 p.m. on June 21 at Texas Public Radio headquarters, 321 W. Commerce St. The City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture is cohosting the event.
