Police looking for missing Harrodsburg woman
HARRODSBURG, Ky (WTVQ)-The Harrodsburg Police Department is looking for a missing woman. In a social media post Saturday, the police department says Heather L. Thomas of Harrodsburg was last seen operating a Gold Chevy S-10 pickup truck. According to police, she was accompanied by Phillip Brock.

U.S. 68 Closed At Jessamine County Line May 31 To July 6
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is advising motorists that Harrodsburg Road/US 68 will be closed between Pekin Pike/KY 33 (milepoint 1.5) and the Jessamine-Mercer County line (milepoint 0.0) for 36 days. The closure starts Wednesday, May 31, and runs through Thursday, July 6. All closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of KYTC.

2023 WGCA All-Americans: Laney Frye and Jensen Castle
The University of Kentucky women’s golf team made a remarkable achievement by having two of their members, Laney Frye and Jensen Castle, honored as WGCA All-Americans, the first time since 1989. Frye, a rising senior from Lexington, Kentucky, broke four individual school records in 2022-23, including the single-season scoring average, the single-season’s par-or-better rounds, career par-or-better rounds, and the low 18-hole round. Lexington official faces stalking charge, protection order
LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — An elected Fayette County official has been charged with stalking and served with a temporary protection order. According to a uniform citation, Matt Miniard, a Fayette County Soil & Water Conservation Board supervisor, threatened to shoot his tenant on two occasions. The citation says the dispute was caused because Miniard wanted to evict the tenant without using the legal process by turning off the electricity to his room and throwing the tenant’s personal belongings outside.

University of Kentucky Offers Alternative Pathways to Teacher Certification in STEM and Early Childhood Education
The University of Kentucky College of Education is offering new pathways for those wishing to change careers and teach in STEM and early childhood education.
