"Mother of all potholes" causing problems for motorists in Prichard
PRICHARD, Ala. (WPMI) — Your typical lumps and bumps in the road have nothing on this. Some are calling a pothole in Prichard the “mother of all potholes" because of its size and location. It's along Telegraph Road, wedged in between the train tracks of a railroad crossing. Drivers along this road say that this pothole has all of the right qualifications to cause major damage to their vehicles. When I went out near the pothole earlier today, many people thanked NBC 15 for coming out to highlight the issue. An issue that they say has been affecting the area and the safety of drivers for years.
Phase 2 of Twelve Mile Creek stabilization starting May 30
MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — On Tuesday, May 30, the City of Mobile will begin work on the second phase of the Three Mile Creek Watershed Restoration project. This roughly 10-month project will stabilize the existing conditions in Twelve Mile Creek from East Drive to University Blvd. Once completed, it will help reduce sedimentation, prevent property loss from erosion, improve water quality and protect the area’s marine resources. This is a continuation of work currently underway in Twelve Mile Creek between Museum Drive and University Blvd.
