Wasilla law enforcement arrest eluding man wanted in Arkansas
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - An Anchorage man with ties to alleged Arkansas crimes was arrested by law enforcement on Thursday in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Troopers say the arrest of 37-year-old Latrael Hackathron — who had an extraditable warrant out for his arrest — came after a vehicle pursuit and foot chase near Colony High School in Palmer.
1 dead after Wasilla duplex catches fire
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - One person was found dead early Wednesday morning in Wasilla following a duplex structure fire, according to Matanuska-Susitna Borough officials. According to Ken Barkley, director of the borough’s emergency services, neighbors of the inflamed Melanie Avenue duplex called in the blaze around 6:20 a.m. During the initial call, Barkley said, it was believed that all occupants of the house had evacuated but Barkley said there were informed there might be another person inside the unit.
