Two charged in caretaker scheme, accused of stealing more than $200,000
RENSSELAER COUNTY, NY (WRGB) — Two people have been charged in a caretaker scheme, following a multi-agency investigation. State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli, Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly and the New York State Police announced the arrests of Amber Diacetis, a 30-year-old Albany resident, and Devin Zielinski, 33, for allegedly stealing over $200,000 from an elderly victim.
