PUBLIC NOTICE – NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE
28-05028: Chambersburg Energy LLC (225 Alleman Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17201) for the operation of an electric generation facility in Guilford Township, Franklin County. Chambersburg Energy LLC is a major facility subject to the operating permit requirements of Title V of the Federal Clean Air Act and 25 Pa. Code Chapter 127, Subchapter F (relating to operating permit requirements) and G (relating to Title V operating permit requirements). Actual 2022 air emissions from the facility are estimated at 77.60 tons CO, 80.48 tons NOx, 2.43 tons VOC, and less than 1 ton of PM10, SOx and HAPs. The Operating Permit will include emission limits and work practice standards along with monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting requirements to ensure the facility complies with the applicable air quality regulations. Among other items, the conditions include provisions for the combustion turbines and emergency engines subject to the following regulations: 40 CFR Part 60: Subpart GG—Standards of Performance for New Stationary Gas Turbines; Subpart IIII—Standards of Performance for Stationary Compression Ignition Internal Combustion Engines.

Franklin County I-81 Welcome Center Closed for Energy-Efficient HVAC Upgrade
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced the closure of the northbound Interstate 81 Welcome Center in Franklin County, about a mile north of Maryland, from June 3-7. The closure is due to the replacement of the existing HVAC system with a more energy-efficient one. The parking area will also be closed during this period.
