    Fine Arts Fiesta kicks off in Wilkes-Barre

    WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It’s opening day of a tradition that dates back decades in Downtown Wilkes-Barre. It’s the 68th anniversary of the Fine Arts Fiesta on Public Square.

    Hundreds of people are checking out art pieces from vendors of all ages as well as food trucks and live music.

    28/22 News Reporter Amelia Sack was live in Wilkes-Barre to get a glimpse of the event.

    Sack also spoke with Landscape Photographer Robert Vielee from Clarks Summit who is selling photos printed on metal taken across the Keystone State.

    Continuing the conversation with vendors, Sack talked with Artist Keith Renard who is showing off some one-of-a-kind pieces for sale at the festival.

    The Fine Arts Festival will continue throughout the weekend and end on Sunday, May 19.

    This year’s theme is “Peace of Art”.
