Dave Van Horn announced in his weekly press conference that Gage Wood will start Friday for #2 Arkansas. He made a pair of relief appearances last weekend versus Mississippi State. Wood has 3 wins, 2 saves, and a 3.03 ERA this season. He has 44 strikeouts in 29 and 2/3 innings of work. One of his saves came in dramatic fashion.
New support group for caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s, dementia formed for Batesville
The Alzheimer’s Association has announced a new support group for caregivers of those living with dementia is now available in Independence County. The Arkansas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has formed a Batesville Caregiver Support Group, which will meet on the second Thursday of each month at White River Health — Conference Room A in Batesville. The meetings for family, friends, and caregivers who care for someone living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia will be at 5 p.m. and led by local facilitator Deanna Green.
