Lady Bulldogs fall in 14th Region Tournament
Hazard’s great season came to an end Monday in the opening round of the 14th Region Tournament as the Lady Bulldogs fell to Wolfe County 6-0. Hazard finished the season with a 22-7 record. The Lady Bulldogs won the 14th Region All “A” Classic and advanced out of Pool Play in the All “A” Classic state tournament. Hazard started the season with an 18-game winning streak.

National Weather Service conducts storm survey
WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Following Sunday’s severe weather, the National Weather Service in Jackson conducted a storm survey in the Cumberland Valley area. “Anytime we have reports of damage, especially if it’s possibly tornadic in nature, the way we can confirm that and figure out what the windspeeds were and what the size and path of that tornado or straight line winds were is by sending a weather service team down,” Warning Coordination Meteorologist Jane Marie Wix said.
