    Class 3A baseball | (13)Holliday vs Jim Ned
    Holliday battled Jim Ned for game three of the area round playoff series.
    The Eagles won, 6-4, advancing to the regional quarterfinals.
    Mother Nature was the story of the game, as Holliday and Jim Ned had to wait out a nearly five hour lightning delay.
    Tied 4-4 in the 6th inning, a round of thunderstorms rolled through the Abilene area forcing the game to be delayed. Action resumed four hours and 59 minutes later, when Holliday plated two runs in the seventh inning to earn a victory.

    Class 5A baseball | Rider vs Midlothian Heritage
    Rider battled Midlothian Heritage for game three of the area round playoff series.
    The Raiders won 7-5.

    Class 2A baseball | Windthorst vs Era
    Windthorst battled Era in game three of the area round playoff series.
    The Hornets won 4-3.

    Class 4A softball | Burkburnett vs Snyder
    Burkburnett battled Snyder in game three of the regional quarterfinal round playoff series.
    The Lady Bulldogs won 12-2.

    Class 1A softball | Harrold vs (5)Borden County
    Harrold battled Borden County in game two of the regional semifinal round playoff series.
    The Lady Coyotes won 6-5.
