Banning wins league title
The Banning High baseball team defeated Desert Hot Springs (DHS) twice last week en route to the Desert Valley League (DVL) title. Banning defeated DHS 23-2 and 5-0. In the 23-2 win, Sebastain Osornio, Joe Clark, Quintin Valdivia and Trevor Eisman had two hits each. Osornio pitched four innings of two-hit ball.

Baseball Game Recap: Yucca Valley Takes a Loss
It was a good run, but Yucca Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 12-3 to the Valley Christian Academy Lions. For Valley Christian Academy's part, James Fakoury made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Fakoury has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Fakoury was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
