INDIANAPOLIS — An employee for a tree trimming service died on Thursday morning while working on the city’s north side. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, emergency crews were called to the 9000 block of Pickwick Drive shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The police run was listed as a death investigation.

Indiana State Police Arrest Three in Fentanyl Bust Amidst Ongoing Opioid Crisis
In a critical operation against the escalating opioid crisis, Indiana State Police recently arrested three men from Louisville on fentanyl charges after a routine traffic stop on I-65 in Jackson County. The interception took place on a Tuesday afternoon near the 48-mile marker when a trooper, suspecting narcotics involvement, stopped the vehicle. The search revealed nearly 200 fentanyl pills and resulted in the arrest of Alonzo Dixon, 28, Landon Pearl, 18, and Devon Peach, 30, who was also wanted on a parole warrant from Kentucky. A child in the car was safely taken into care by Child Protection Services, and the men now face charges including narcotic dealing and possession, resisting law enforcement, and neglect of a dependent.
