A+ Athlete: Karter Sluder, Whitesboro
WHITESBORO, Texas (KXII) - This week’s A+ Athlete is Karter Sluder from Whitesboro High School. Karter’s work begins in the classroom, after four-straight years on the A/B Honor Roll, he holds a 3.8 GPA. This earned him academic all-district honors in four different sports during his time at Whitesboro. He’s also a member of leadership groups for FCA and his local church. Helping him earn acceptance into Oklahoma State, with Karter planning to attend Stillwater in the Fall.
Whitesboro smashes S&S to close out regular season
SADLER, Texas (KTEN)- Whitesboro picked up some momentum heading into the playoffs on Wednesday with a clean sweep against S&S. The Bearcats won game one 16-3 before taking game two 18-3. Whitesboro heads into the playoffs with a 16-11 record. S&S concludes the regular season at 5-16.
Era’s Katherine Krebs signs with NCTC to play softball
GAINESVILLE, Texas (KXII) - Softball standout Katherine Krebs made it official on Friday - she is heading to North Central Texas College to continue her softball career. Krebs was very impressive in her time as an Era Hornet and she said she’s excited to play in front of her friends and family in her hometown.
Lady Falcons end Lady Wildcats’ season, advance to regionals
The Turner Lady Falcons slow pitch softball team hosted the Thackerville Lady Wildcats for district tournament on Thursday, April 18, winning in two games and ending Thackerville’s season while extending their own.
